Immerse yourself in the world of natural disasters and severe weather as we participate in the STEAM Stories Experience: Surviving Nature, inspired by the I Survived books by Lauren Tarshish. We’ll then work together in a guided session – learning how to leverage fiction and non-fiction books to deepen students’ understanding of science and the human experiences related to natural disaster events. This session will focus on creating engineering design challenges that incorporate science, problem solving and collaborative teamwork.
